In September 2019, The National Railway Museum in the UK commissioned me to animate a 15 second social media advert for their new exhibition 'Brass Steel and Fire', which runs from 26 September 2019 – 13 April 2020.
The client requested some animated typography, mixed with images of Stephenson's Rocket, which is on display at the exhibition. They were also keen to have a zoetrope style transition between frames, to evoke the Victorian era.
I create two versions, a wide one for Facebook and a square one for Instagram.
I used After Effects to animate the text and create the zoetrope spinning effect.
