Here are a selection of pages from my new book on my experiences with insomnia. Working title 'Hexjibber's Insomni-Year'. They were drawn in Procreate on the iPad, which allows you to export videos of your drawing process, which you can see below.
Text has yet to added to the pages. I have about 100 complete pages. The book should be about 300 pages long when finished.
On this page I tried to depict what a night terror feels like. In the speed drawing video, you can see me work through some quite derivitive ideas, before I come up with something better. I've yet to add the text boxes. It was drawn in Procreate on the iPad.
This is the first of two pages of comic relief, where I accidentally expose myself to an elderly neighbour. I've yet to add the text boxes. It was drawn in Procreate on the iPad. The new straight line tool came in handy for this one.
This is not part of the main narrative, but is an amusing interlude. The sort of thought that crosses you mind when you are trying to sleep.
This page depicts the feeling of taking multiple medications to treat insomnia, whilst also being sleep deprived. I've yet to add the text boxes. It was drawn in Procreate on the iPad.
The medication I was perscribed made me a total drinking lightweight.
This page is towards the end of the book, when I have recovered from insomnia. It depicts me having dream about being hailed 'King of the North' (from Game of Thrones) and accidentally punching my girlfriend whilst acting it out.
This is another comic relief page about me helping my girlfriend recover from an injury, by emitting such a terrible fart that she has to get out of bed. I've yet to add the text boxes. It was drawn in Procreate on the iPad.
