🚀 Stage Visuals for “The Most Punk Rock Band in Britain,” Ultimate Thunder! 🎸
🎶 I had the pleasure of creating visuals for their performances:
• Kendal Calling on August 2nd 2024
• Supporting Yard Act at Millennium Square on August 3rd 2024 (and more)
Ultimate Thunder, a post-punk band composed of members with learning disabilities and complex needs (except for founder James Heselwood), is promoting their new album “A Spider Will Come To Eat Your Flesh.” 🕷️
This project is close to my heart as the keyboardist/synth player is my younger brother, Alex. I aimed to make the visuals as trippy as possible, incorporating the album artwork by drummer Scott Anderson using After Effects’ Power Droste plugin for infinite loops. I drew additional frames to create some 'line boil', for that old-skool look. 🎨✨
With limited time and no budget, I supplemented the visuals with stock animated graphics from Mr. Horse. I also included band photos to introduce the members to the audience – which I know my brother will get a kick out of. 😊
These visuals are designed for both stage and social media, ensuring the band gets the recognition they deserve.
